Review of Go The Distance
by Rock City News.com
WALTER TROUT - Does this guy ever stop
writing incredible stuff? Time after time, Walter Trout seems
to outdo himself in coming up with one great album after another.
His latest release called "Go The Distance" has some of the most
authentic and creative modern blues rock that we have ever encountered.
From the opener entitled "Love So Deep", to the deep and
heartfelt ballad called "Bugle Billy", Walter Trout continues to
evolve to heights previously unreachable by mere mortals.
If you believe in reincarnation, then perhaps the spirit of Steve Ray
Vaughn has entered him and combined itself with Walter's own spirit to
create a guitarist like the world may never see again. If you haven't
heard Walter Trout and the Radicals you are really
missing out on something spectacular.
That is why the Los Angeles Music Awards selections committee is proud to publicly
announce that Walter Trout has received two nominations in 2001. One for
Independent Rock Album of the Year and the other for
Guitarist
of the Year. On a scale of 1 to 10,
we proudly give this album a perfect score of 10. Well deserved!
by Al Bowman Aug 9, 2001
Walter and the album succeeded in
winning both awards.
