(A live album will be released in the USA on the Ruf label in May/June 2000)

The title is Face the Music (live on tour)

1. Got a broken heart
2. Hard time blues
3. The reason I'm gone
4. Come home
5. Marie's mood
6. Soodo slide
7. Obstacles in my way
8. Tired of sleeping alone
9. On the rise

Total 52.72

The first two cuts are unbelievable... especially Hard Time Blues... I cannot sit still to that one.
Then he goes into a very emotionally charged slow blues (The Reason I'm Gone).
Then a shuffle.... raw and unchained as Walter can do them with Come Home.
Then again a very emotional explanation about Marie's Mood....Walter talks about how the song was written while his wife was expecting their second son..... and then he gets wild again with Soodo Slide. An instrumental fireball, that sounds like he is doing slide work... but he is not... just showing off his skills with his hands.
Obstacles is a great change of pace. Starting very simple with just guitar and vocals and growing into a frenzy of sound.
Then again a slow blues (Tired Of Sleeping Alone...) a song about hating the"road" and missing his baby (made up I believe on stage....). Again a very deep felt blues cut... and then all out blasting on "On The Rise" - a very energetic way to end the show....(CD).         Fishnet Productions

Walter Trout Band has been played extensively for a year on the St. Louis radio station KSHE 95 (one of the 10 top rock stations in the States). They have been on heavy rotation with Come Home, Broken Heart and also Put it Right Back from Breaking the Rules! They just LOVE Walter, and they see themselves as pioneers for Walter Trout Band in the States. On 12th February, they are going to fly Walter in from Memphis, the band in from LA, and Dan the soundman from Phila. This is all for a gig in a big nightclub called Mississippi Nights, and we would love for some of our core fans to show up, and get people off their feet. You can listen to the station live over the Internet. It's called KSHE 95 in St. Louis. KSHE 95 is the oldest Rock and Roll (AOR) radio station in the United States, KSHE has been rocking St. Louis for 32 years. KSHE began in a little building behind a drive-in movie theater in Crestwood, Missouri. Today the broadcast from a state of the art studio in St. Louis Union Station.
Through past events such as the Free Concert Series, KSHE Birthday Party, KSHE Kite Flies, Blood Drives and Rock & Roll Auctions, a special bond has been formed between KSHE and its listeners. Many listeners have fond memories of growing up with KSHE. Whether it was the music or special events, KSHE is a part of their lives. No other St. Louis radio station can make this claim.

January 1999
