Bernie Pershey leaves Walter Trout and the Radicals

May 16, 2001

After 10 years with the Radicals, Bernie Pershey has moved on to play with Eric Burdon. This will allow him to spend more time at home with his family. Walter Trout and the Radicals spend 7- 8 months of the year on the road, and the whole band understands and respects Bernie's decision to stay home more.

Bernie Pershey is a beloved and integral part of the Radicals and we are all sad to see him go. However, we (band and management) wish him God's speed and much success and happiness on this new road, he has chosen.

To replace him in the band, we have been fortunate enough to find one of the finest drummers on the face of the earth. A very worthy replacement for Bernie.

The new drummer is Kenny Soule. He has an incredibly steady back beat, energy galore, and we are very happy with him. If you get a chance to come see the band with the new drummer, we guarantee you that you will not be disappointed.
