"It's Just Another Round
Just Another Fight
They Try To Knock Me Down
But You Know We're Still Alright..."

(HOLLYWOOD California) - These poignant lyrics are the opening refrains from "Go The Distance", the stirring title track from the Blues-rock guitarist/vocalist Walter Trout's latest critically acclaimed CD "Go The Distance" (RUF Records).
When disaster struck our nation during the blues-rocker's U.S. tour this past September by way of terrorist attacks on New York and Washington, D.C. Trout decided to change a few of the words in "Go The Distance" - eliciting fervent response in every city from the patriotic-minded music fans attending his shows.
Below (boldface type) are the re-recorded lyrics on "Go The Distance"

"It's Just Another Round
Just Another Fight
They Try To Knock Me Down
BUT WE'RE GONNA BE ALRIGHT..."

Limited Edition "Go The Distance" CD singles ship to radio October 8 with portions of the single's lyrics proceeds going to disaster relief agency, www.libertyunite.org. The lyrics from "Go The Distance" - which has garnered Southern Californian based Trout both "Independent Rock Album Of The Year" and "Guitarist Of The Year" nominations from the 11th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards - call to mind a boxer getting up off the canvas, time and time again, to keep on fighting.

So Many Times I've Been
Down There On The Ground
But I Gather Up My Strength
And Go Another Round..."

Below (boldface type) are the re-tooled lyrics on "Go The Distance"

So Many Times WE'VE Been
Down There On The Ground
But WE Gather Up OUR Strength
And WE Go Another Round..."

Lastly, THE "Go The Distance" chorus,

"And I Swear...
I'm Gonna Go The Distance"

is now

"And LORD I Swear...
WE'RE Gonna Go The Distance"
