On this edition of Clean and Sober Radio, host Gary Hendler is joined by life-long friend and guest co-host David Sussman. Gary and David’s guest is Walter Trout – a singer, song writer, and guitarist who has played with bands such as Canned Heat, John Mayall, and Santana. Trout began his career in Ocean City, New Jersey. After moving to Los Angeles in the late 60’s he teamed up with well-known musicians John Lee Hooker and Joe Tex. As these stories often go, he had many good times, but also struggled with a devastating addiction and eventually cirrhosis of the liver. He has been sober from drugs and alcohol for over 30 years and surviving, not only in recovery, but also following a liver transplant in 2016. Do not miss his emotional interview.
